A Brief History of Maison Bagués

Since its inception in 1860, Maison Bagués has been an emblem of French sophistication in luxury interior design and craftsmanship. Founder Noël Baguès emphasized the use of traditional techniques, solidifying the firm's elite standard of elegance and excellence in their craft.

Maison Baguès’s luxurious pieces are prized for their craftsmanship, beauty and versatility amongst various interior styles. The house is known for its use of high-quality materials, including crystal, bronze, and Murano glass specifically in their lighting sector. The intricate metal work can be seen in the majority of Bagués designs, making them immediately recognizable in the field of French antiques. Originally famed for their lighting collections, Maison Baguès is also known for their fabulous smaller-scale furniture and decorative objects. 

On our most recent buying trip to Paris, we were able to source two fabulous Maison Bagués side tables. One features bronze bamboo legs and frame with an antique mirrored top that could be used as a side table or petite coffee table, and the other is a two tier side table that features linear bronze legs finished with floral finials on the top.
