About: Charlotte (Charlie) Jo Tanner is a Dallas-based artist originally from Orange County, California. She earned her degree in Interior Design from the University of Alabama, and her background in design continues to shape the way she approaches her work, considering not only the painting itself, but how it will live within a home and become part of the life around it.
Her work is inspired by the places and memories that have shaped her, from her
grandmother’s garden in Newport Beach and the landscapes of Southern California to her years in the South, travels throughout Europe, and the beauty she notices in everyday life. Guided by her faith, Charlie sees creating as a gift and a way to celebrate the beauty God has placed in the world around her.

Charlie Jo Designs is known for whimsical, layered works inspired by the natural world's
beauty and movement. With expressive brushstrokes, rich color, and playful details, each piece brings life and joy to the spaces it inhabits. Her signature Lily Pad Series reimagines familiar botanical forms through an abstract lens, balancing organic movement with unexpected color and texture. Rooted in Charlie Jo’s background in interior design, the work is created with both the canvas and the home in mind, resulting in art that feels collected, personal, and meant to be lived with.
